Summary
Dr Jason Miller is an experienced Queensland trained Surgical Oncologist, General & Burn Surgeon. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Queensland from 1993 to 1998 (MBBS) & finished his general surgical training in 2008, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). Dr Miller then trained overseas, at the National Burn Centre and Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Middlemore Hospital (Auckland, NZ) in 2009, then at The Royal Marsden Hospital Melanoma and Soft Tissue Sarcoma Units, Chelsea & Sutton (London, UK). He has been employed at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital (RBWH) since 2011, the Surgical Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS) since 2021 & joined Queensland Surgery Centre in 2023. Dr Miller’s practice includes Surgical Oncology & as part of the RBWH Melanoma Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) works closely with surgical colleagues, medical oncologists & radiation oncologists to deliver high standard comprehensive cancer care. He also practices at the Professor Stuart Pegg Adult Burn Centre, performing both acute & reconstructive burn surgery. During his career Dr Miller treated patients injured in the Ravenshoe Cafe explosion in 2015 & the Anglo American Grosvenor Mine explosion in 2020.
